About Alex

Alex Salazar is an executive coach, leadership advisor, and speaker who helps leaders make better decisions about people, strategy, and themselves.

He brings more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of business and talent, including a decade as a leader at The Walt Disney Company, where he built and led enterprise talent initiatives across a complex, global organization.

Over the course of his career, Alex has worked closely with leaders navigating organizational complexity, critical decisions, and moments of transition. These experiences shaped a core belief that continues to guide his work: the most difficult leadership challenges are rarely technical. They are human.

He is known for creating space where leaders can think clearly, be challenged honestly, and grow without pretense.

His Journey

Alex’s path into coaching was shaped by years of working in human resources alongside talented teams and dynamic organizations, where the answers were rarely simple and the lessons were consistently meaningful.

He led teams, built successful functions, and partnered with stakeholders across businesses, seeing firsthand how leadership decisions (good, bad, and ugly) ripple through teams and organizations. Through that work, it became clear that leadership is not just about making the right decision, but understanding how decisions are made, communicated, and carried forward.

That perspective now sits at the center of his work.

Beyond the Work

Alex lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Alouette, and their French Bulldog, Conchita.

Together, they are actively involved in their community, with a focus on supporting individuals and groups who are underserved and often overlooked. This commitment reflects a broader belief that leadership is not only about performance, but also about responsibility, care, and the impact we have on others.
